Withdrawal Policy
The Journal of Advanced Electrical and Electronic Engineering (JAEEE) recognizes that authors may need to withdraw their manuscripts due to academic, ethical, personal, or other legitimate circumstances. The journal is committed to handling withdrawal requests fairly, transparently, and professionally while maintaining the integrity of the editorial and peer-review process.
1. Author-Initiated Withdrawal
Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscripts at any stage before official publication, including before peer review, during peer review, after revision, or following acceptance.
The corresponding author must submit a written withdrawal request to the editorial office at editor@jaeee.org, clearly stating the manuscript title, submission identification number, and reason for withdrawal.
Where appropriate, the corresponding author should confirm that all co-authors have been informed of and agree to the withdrawal request.
2. Withdrawal Before Peer Review
Manuscripts may be withdrawn before the commencement of peer review without any withdrawal fee or penalty.
The editorial office will acknowledge the request and update the manuscript's status in the journal's submission management system.
3. Withdrawal During Peer Review
Authors may request withdrawal while their manuscript is undergoing peer review.
The journal encourages authors to notify the editorial office promptly to avoid unnecessary editorial and reviewer work.
JAEEE does not impose a separate administrative withdrawal fee for manuscripts withdrawn during peer review.
Withdrawal requests will be processed fairly, and the editorial office will provide written confirmation once the withdrawal has been completed.
4. Withdrawal After Acceptance but Before Publication
Authors may request withdrawal after manuscript acceptance but before official online publication.
Such requests must be submitted in writing with an explanation of the circumstances.
The editorial office will review the request and coordinate any necessary administrative steps before confirming withdrawal.
Any Article Processing Charge (APC) already paid will be handled in accordance with the journal's published APC and Refund Policies. Withdrawal does not automatically establish eligibility for a refund.
No additional withdrawal penalty will be imposed.
5. Withdrawal After Publication
Once an article has been officially published online, it becomes part of the scholarly record and is not ordinarily eligible for manuscript withdrawal.
If significant errors, research misconduct, ethical concerns, or other serious problems are identified after publication, the matter will be addressed under the journal's Article Correction, Retraction and Expression of Concern Policy.
Depending on the circumstances, appropriate editorial actions may include publication of a correction, expression of concern, or retraction notice.
Published articles will not be removed solely at an author's request. Exceptional removal may be considered where required by law or necessary to address serious safety, privacy, or legal concerns, with an appropriate public notice where feasible.
6. Resubmission of Withdrawn Manuscripts
Authors wishing to resubmit a previously withdrawn manuscript must submit it as a new submission through the journal's manuscript management system.
The resubmitted manuscript will undergo the journal's standard editorial screening and peer-review procedures.
Previous acceptance or review outcomes do not guarantee acceptance upon resubmission.
7. Editorial Responsibility and Ethical Considerations
JAEEE respects authors' right to request withdrawal before publication and will not require authors to proceed with publication against their wishes.
Where a withdrawal request involves suspected plagiarism, data fabrication, authorship disputes, duplicate submission, or other ethical concerns, the editorial office may investigate the matter in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics Policy and relevant Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance.
The journal may retain necessary editorial records for legitimate administrative and research-integrity purposes, subject to applicable confidentiality and data protection requirements.
8. Withdrawal Confirmation and Communication
The editorial office will acknowledge withdrawal requests and communicate any additional information required to process them.
Once the withdrawal has been completed, the corresponding author will receive written confirmation.
Authors should not assume that a manuscript has been formally withdrawn until confirmation has been issued by the journal.
9. Relationship with Other Journal Policies
This Withdrawal Policy should be read together with the journal's:
