Copyright and Licensing

The Journal of Advanced Electrical and Electronic Engineering (JAEEE) is committed to protecting authors' intellectual property rights while promoting the unrestricted dissemination, accessibility, and responsible reuse of scholarly research.

The journal follows an open-access publishing model and applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) to its published articles.

This policy establishes the rights and responsibilities of authors, the journal, and users of published content in accordance with internationally recognized open-access publishing principles.

Copyright Ownership

Authors publishing in JAEEE retain copyright of their original scholarly work.

By submitting a manuscript and agreeing to its publication, authors grant JAEEE a non-exclusive right of first publication and permission to publish, distribute, display, preserve, and make the article publicly accessible through its official publishing platform.

Copyright ownership remains with the authors, and no general transfer of copyright to the journal is required.

Authors remain responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.

Commercial and Non-Commercial Reuse

JAEEE permits the reuse of published articles for both commercial and non-commercial purposes under CC BY 4.0.

Users may reproduce, redistribute, or adapt licensed material in commercial publications, educational resources, research applications, and other lawful activities without seeking separate permission, provided the license conditions are followed.

Authors may deposit the submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, or published version in appropriate repositories, subject to applicable third-party rights and disclosure requirements.

The published version may be shared immediately upon publication without an embargo.

Authors are encouraged to include complete bibliographic details, a DOI link where available, and the applicable CC BY 4.0 license information.

Third-Party Copyrighted Material

Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate permission when incorporating third-party copyrighted material that is not covered by a suitable license or legal exception.

Such material may include:

  • Previously published figures and illustrations.

Authors must provide appropriate acknowledgment and clearly identify any third-party material excluded from the article's Creative Commons license.

The CC BY 4.0 license applies only to material for which the relevant rights holder has authorized licensing under those terms.

Authors are responsible for resolving copyright concerns relating to material included in their submissions.

Copyright Infringement and Disputes

JAEEE takes allegations of copyright infringement and unauthorized use of intellectual property seriously.

Where a credible copyright complaint is received, the editorial office may request clarification, supporting documentation, or evidence of permission from the relevant parties.

The journal will evaluate the concern fairly and determine appropriate action based on the available evidence.

Possible actions may include correcting attribution, replacing unauthorized material, issuing a formal correction, or taking other action in accordance with the journal's publication ethics and corrections policies.

Policy Review and Updates

JAEEE may review this policy periodically to maintain consistency with developments in copyright law, open-access licensing, scholarly publishing practices, and relevant international standards.

Any substantive changes to licensing arrangements will be communicated through the journal's official website and will not retroactively override rights already granted under existing Creative Commons licenses.
