Ensure that figures and images are of sufficient resolution for publication.
Mathematical expressions, engineering symbols, and technical terminology should be accurate and consistent.
6. References and Citations
Authors are encouraged to follow the IEEE referencing style, commonly used in electrical and electronic engineering research.
References should be numbered according to their first appearance in the manuscript and cited using square brackets, such as [1], [2], and [3].
All references must be accurate, complete, and directly relevant to the manuscript.
Authors should include Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) where available and avoid citing unreliable, fabricated, or irrelevant sources.
7. Research Originality and Plagiarism
Submitted manuscripts must represent original scholarly work and must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that:
-
All sources are properly acknowledged.
-
Direct quotations are appropriately identified.
-
Previously published material is correctly cited.
-
Figures, tables, and datasets are used with appropriate permissions.
-
Manuscripts do not contain plagiarism, fabricated results, or manipulated research findings.
Text similarity may be assessed as part of editorial screening. Similarity reports should be evaluated in context rather than relying solely on a numerical percentage.
8. Authorship and Contributions
All listed authors must have made meaningful scholarly contributions to the research and must approve the submitted manuscript.
The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the journal and ensuring that all co-authors agree to the submission, authorship order, and final publication.
Guest authorship, honorary authorship, and the omission of qualifying contributors are not acceptable.
Requests for changes in authorship should be supported by an explanation and agreement from the relevant authors.
9. Research Ethics
Authors must comply with applicable institutional, national, and international ethical standards.
Research involving human participants, personal information, or animals must include appropriate ethical approval and informed consent statements where required.
Experimental studies should describe relevant safety precautions, research protocols, and compliance with applicable engineering standards.
Fabrication, falsification, selective manipulation of findings, and unethical research practices are prohibited.
10. Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could reasonably influence the research or its interpretation.
If no competing interests exist, authors should include the following declaration:
“The authors declare that they have no competing interests.”
Editors and reviewers should also disclose relevant conflicts of interest and withdraw from decisions where impartiality may be compromised.
11. Funding and Acknowledgements
Authors should identify financial support received for the research, including funding agencies and grant numbers where applicable.
Individuals who contributed to the research but do not qualify for authorship may be acknowledged with their permission.
Where no external funding was received, authors may state:
“This research received no external funding.”
12. Data Availability and Reproducibility
Authors are encouraged to provide sufficient methodological details to enable independent evaluation and reproducibility.
Where appropriate, manuscripts should include information about experimental datasets, simulation parameters, software tools, algorithms, and analytical methods.
Authors should include a data availability statement describing whether supporting data are publicly accessible, available upon reasonable request, or subject to ethical, legal, or confidentiality restrictions.
13. Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
Authors must take full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their manuscripts, including content developed with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools.
AI tools must not be listed as authors.
Where generative AI has materially contributed to manuscript preparation, data analysis, image generation, or other research activities, authors should disclose its use, including the tool and purpose.
AI-generated references, fabricated data, manipulated images, and misleading research content are unacceptable.
Routine spelling and grammar assistance generally does not require disclosure unless the journal's separate AI policy states otherwise.
14. Peer Review and Editorial Evaluation
Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment for relevance, originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, and adherence to the journal's submission requirements.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are considered for independent scholarly peer review according to JAEEE's published Peer Review Policy.
Reviewers evaluate the scientific validity, methodological soundness, technical contribution, clarity, and relevance of the research.
Editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
The final publication decision rests with the responsible editor and is based on scholarly merit and the review process.
