Smart prosthetics have transformed the landscape of assistive technologies by integrating embedded systems that enable real-time sensing, adaptive control, and enhanced human-machine interaction. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the engineering principles behind smart prosthetics, focusing on the role of embedded systems in improving functionality, responsiveness, and user comfort. The study highlights key components such as sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and communication protocols that underpin smart prosthetic devices. Furthermore, challenges including power management, signal processing, and system integration are discussed. The paper also includes experimental data and graphical analyses illustrating the performance enhancements achieved through embedded system implementation. This interdisciplinary approach bridges electrical, biomedical, and mechanical engineering domains to advance the field of prosthetic technology.
